Here’s a little update. The Bass family has a new launch coming in 10 days. We are in beta stage and I want my friends to know what we are up to.
It’s a web site. I love building those little things. Not enough of them out there, are there? It’s called WordPress For Pastors, found at wpforpastors.com. There is also a store with software and services at wp4pastors.com.
I have had the pleasure of helping many pastors and others who serve out Good News to the people. It is my belief that pastors should have their own platform, not just the one behind the lectern. Many churches have a web site, but it doesn’t get to the heart of what this preacher, writer, teacher needs to say. Our new launch should help ministers take their sermons and re-purpose them for a larger audience.
I also have noticed that many have little time to learn the ins and outs of web design. I have been steadily studying wordpress for two years now. I believe that the one-two punch of conversational writing and instructive video can be powerful.
That’s why I started these two sites. There is much to do to them in the next 10 days, but already, there is much on there. I have been writing articles and tweaking the technology for a couple months now. I invite you to take a look and see the potential. I know that a lot of my friends are pastors, and… ready for a quotable instagram-like qouty thing?
I believe that every man, woman and child in America knows of at least one pastor.
Yeah, I know. That’s profound. But that means our market is larger than we originally thought. It also means you pprobably know someone who could benefit from this.
Right now, there’s no membership, except, I will be asking peeps to join the mailing list. But a lot of experts say, “Build a membership site.” I don’t know, right now, I think a newsletter to keep people up on the latest stuff should suffice.
Near future? Plenty of fresh courses on building wordpress, creating videos, and social media. So, if you get a moment, take a peek and leave me a comment. Thanks.
