Bassfam Georgia Vacation Day 6 – Jasper, GA

We stayed an extra day and opted for the Jssper Crossfest. It was neat to see the people get together and sing praises to the King. It’s nice to have a real heavenly King in the midst of all the earth turmoil. We were especially touched by the Jerusalem Cowboy Church dance team. They did a sign language praise dance. You could feel the joy in worship as they performed.

We were late to the festival because I wanted to get one more morning tube run in. Enjoy the Cartecay footage. Can you tell I enjoy my GoPro. We actually lost one on the trip… but after a few tears, I realized that the memories are still there. That’s important.

blue ridge

Bassfam Vacation 5 – Blue Ridge, Georgia

I gotta be honest. We didn’t find much to do in Blue Ridge, but the town looked nice. We just walked in and out of shops. But the river was calling. So river-ing was done. Big sis had already had her fill, so she spent time with little sis and mom while dad and the three middles got wet. It was the Coosawattee again.

I know you might be a little tired of river footage, but there are a couple happy dances in there for you. Thanks for watching. Tomorrow, I will post the last in the series. This was our bonus day in which we decided to go to a Christian concert.

day 4 amicalola falls georgia

Day 4 – Amicalola Falls, Georgia

These were beautiful falls. The hike was a real workout. You can drive up. But we walked. Kathleen took the jillions of stairs with a toddler on her back.

We took two trips down Coosawattee river. This time, we put in near our cabin, so we did not have to pay any drunk guys to pick us up in a run down van.

I hope you enjoyed our little travelogue. Join us tomorrow for the final installment of The Bassfam Vacation – Dah – Dah – Daah!

more river

Bassfam Vacation – Day 3 – More River in Ellijay

Today Mom and J hit the rapids with kayaks. In the mean time, I was able to meet up with a good friend. We were glad to hit more river and more thrift stores in Elijay.

Enjoy the fun video. I did not include all of the random stills that our 9 year old took, but I did include some. She has an interesting eye for what is “photograph-able.”

still life

By the way. This was our first time using Air BNB. Our experience warrants a second and, maybe beyond, time. We really hit a good one. Similar sized house, compared to home – nice transaction. Who knows, we might even visit the same house next year. The owner is a Believer, and we have become friends. We wouldn’t have asked for a better experience. Have you ever used Air BNB? Was it positive?
